A sport I like to watch
I like to watch soccer and martial arts. I especially love to watch any form of martial arts. It's super fun to watch all the cool stuff those athletes can do. I wish I could do that stuff but the sport that I'd win the olympics with is spectating. I'm a black belt at the spectator sport.

Where I'd like to go on vacation with my family
There's only one possible response to the prompt... DISNEYLAND!!!!! My family and I are all in agreement about this prime vacation spot. We love Disneyland and it has something that appeals to each of us. It's especially fun with kids because they still believe in the disney magic and their enthusiasm rubs off on you. Its amazing how fun kids can make a place. So anyway I love my family and I love Disneyland so its pretty clear how awesome my family AND Disneyland together is.

Someone in my family that I really like
I absolutely LOVE my family! There is not one person in my family that I don't like and I can always count on anyone in my family to have my back. I have some of the greatest siblings in the world, they're all so funny and sweet. I'm blessed to get along with them so well. I'm a lucky gal to have the parents I have because they are the greatest, most supportive parents and I couldn't have asked for better. My extended family is also super awesome. Most of the people I know don't even talk with their cousins or aunts and uncles. my extended family is always checking up on me to see if I'm happy. My grandparents help to make sure that my needs are met so that I'm successful in life. Bottom line is; you'll find no family happier to be stuck together for all eternity.

What I would put on a sign that goes on my bedroom door
I am pretty happy with the sign I already have on my door. Its a note my brother wrote to me on the day I found out I wouldn't get to stay at the school I had been at for 3 months because the boy I was aiding doesn't need me anymore. My brother knew I was upset about it so he wrote me a note and stuck it on my door. It simply says "Rebekah, I love you..." and I loved that sign so much I kept it on my door. Its a reminder that no matter how tough my days are in the end it's all okay. Like the name of my blog says "keep calm and carry on" its a good reminder that the day will be over and soon a new day with a new problem will come and with that problem comes a solution.

What the inside of my refridgerator looks like
Well I like to think I can compare my fridge to a black hole. As in if anything is unlucky enough to find itself caught up it the swirling vortex of doom its not likely that it will ever be seen in the same condition again. I think the only things that have survived the prison time of my fridge is the mustard and the aloe vera. Sometimes a food item is lucky enough to be quickly retrieved before it goes bad but that only happens with things like soda, juice, and leftover pizza. And since those are a luxury item we had to cut out it doesn't happen often that they find their way into the black hole

What my bedroom looks like
well... theres really no method to this madness but I love my room. There is a big tv complete with a ps3 to watch my stories and to play my games. I have a dresser but more often then not my clothes end up on the floor so its basically there for decoration. I have a few poster on my wall and a few sleeping beauty pictures. My closet door is a mural of my favorite video games. my guitars are in the corner on their stands. I have a FAI jersey above my bed for my favorite international soccer team. My closet is packed with misc. stuff and all of my books that aren't on my nook are on the bookshelf in the living room. I'm hoping to invest in some frames and put some of my drawings up. And I hide my ninja outfit under my bed. so that is basically my room in a nutshell...which is about how big it is in real life.

The Most Important Piece of Clothing I Own
This is a ridiculous prompt. I'm not sure what I would consider to be the most important piece of clothing. Honestly during the summer I sleep stark bum naked. However I live with my brother now so I have to be careful to let him know before I do that and I live in an aprtment so I have to be careful or else the neighbors risk hearing my brother screech like a banshee. But since I had to write this so it was appropriate for 3rd graders I went with my Pajamas cause thats pretty much all I wear when Im not out and about and my brother is home too. I like my pjs cause they are super comfy and I dont have to feel like im being wrapped up in cheese cloth. So yeah there are the facts. If I had the choice I would be nekkid but i cant so i wear loose clothes.

Who I would Invite to My Birthday Party...
The question should be who wouldn't I invite to my birthday party?! I kid of course I'm not big on partying, I'm more of a homebody. I would of course have my family over as well as some close buddies of mine. I would also have a ridiculously good looking guy there to serve my every whim. I don't think i would actually have my birthday party anywhere special unless it started with a "Disney" and ended with a "land". Ironically enough my birthday is indeed very close. I will celebrate the fact that I managed not to do anything stupid for a whole additional year. Wheeeee...

Something I am Proud of
This is a toughie because I am proud of many things. My greatest pride and joy is my family. I couldnt have asked for better. I am proud of my talents especially my drawing. I'm proud of myself for learning guitar even if I'm not super talented. I take pride in my ability to read fast and comprehend well the books I come across. I'm proud of the work I do in the education system and I always take great pride in my students when they accomplish some of the goals we set. I'm proud of my ability appreciate good disney magic (you're never too old to love magic). And I'm also proud of how good I've gotten at video games...with the aide of cheating of course.

How I Helped Someone Once
This is a difficult topic because most people don't really see how they've assisted someone through their own eyes, they don't even become aware that they have helped until someone else says something to them. I hope I have helped people but for the moment I can only think of one that I for sure assisted.
In my job I help the special needs kids with things they can not do themselves and that sometimes includes feeding them. One day we were having a goodbye party for a little deaf boy and one of the moms brought in chocolate cake. The boy I was helping had limited mobility in his body so was helping him eat his cake. For some reason someone had given me a plastic fork even though we usually feed them with metal utensils. As this boy was eating he got really excited about his cake and bit down through the plastic breaking off the tongs of the fork. I realized that if he pushed the tongs back with his tongue he would end up swallowing the sharp bits and probably choke on them. So naturally I did what I had to do and nearly jammed my hand down that poor boys throat. He, of course, was confused and scared so he went lock jaw with my fingers still in his mouth. Luckily I had grabbed the little plastic pieces so he wouldn't be swallowing them but now my fingers were stuck and he was unable to release his jaw. The longer I had my fingers in there the harder he bit. In order to let go I had to release the fork tongs but that would put him in risk of swallowing the plastic so I held on and tried not to scream because the other students become agitated very easily. One of the other aides massaged his jaw in the hopes that it would help release his muscles. However he was still very frightened and didn't know what was going on so he bit down harder, and I felt my fingers snap. Eventually the other aide was successful at getting his jaw unlocked and I quickly withdrew my fingers. I was very grateful that the boy was not dead as was his grandmother who threw her arms around me and started crying, I was crying to but that was more towards the fact that my fingers were stuck at an unnatural angle. However, miraculously enough, a few minutes later my fingers stopped bleeding and by the end of the day my fingers had also almost completely straightened out . They were bruised pretty bad but by the next day even that was gone. I think that was Gods way of saying "good job for not letting that poor boy suffer a horrible and gruesome death."
So yeah that was a time I helped someone to not die. Yay me!!

Something I Can Do This Year That I Couldn't Last Year...
Well as you can probably guess by the title today's prompt is all about learning new things. It has been a year of many changes for myself and my family. The first and most important was the inclusion of my new siblings. This time last year We had barely found out about the two new additions that would come into our home. And we were certain our family was complete until Decepticon was born a few weeks ago. (Decepticon is what I call my youngest brother, mostly because I don't know the Latin name for ten that my father nicknames us when he doesn't want the little ones to know who were talking about). So I guess that something I couldn't do last year that I can do this year is hold enough love in my heart for all of my family members. Its quite odd to think you could love so many people at one time but it isn't so hard to do. On a more personal level I have learned to grow up for realsies this time. I have lived on my own before but I never had to support myself. I've lived out of state from a major part of my family but that was mostly surviving on the good graces if my older sister. Until recently I've done most of my living with various family members and even if I still live with one of my siblings I'm responsible for my own bills. I had to get a big girl job and I can't just get bored and leave it if I feel it's cutting too far into my nap time. I can no longer spend money on frivolous things or junk food and most of my paycheck is gone before I've even looked at it. However I feel it is the most productive I've been since I went off to college and it makes me feel pretty darn good about myself. Now all I have to do is convince some poor defenseless (attractive ) sap to get married and make babies with me.

What I like to do on weekends...
I'm currently working at an elementary school where the children are given 100 journal prompts to write about every school day for the remainder of the year. A few of my students kept asking me what I would write about so I decided to take up the challenge as well. The only requirements were it had to be at least five sentences and the topic had to be addressed.
The first journal prompt I was given is "what I like to do on the weekends." This is a relatively simple one to write about since I all but live for the weekends. The first thing I love to do is sleep. Ill sleep until I've nearly slept the morning away. After I've nearly made myself sick on too much sleep I'll get up and read a few books after I've read I'll play a video game which generally doesn't last long because I'm not very good so I spend more time dieing than I do succeeding so i like to stop before I get too angry because there really isn't any point in threatening my television because it just doesn't care about my feelings. I also like to spend time with my family because I have THE coolest family of all time and there is all sorts of awesome things to do with my family. I'm also very much in love with music, whether listening or playing my guitar. I sometimes like to watch movies and telelvision but i generally don't because I lose interest pretty quick. Well that's pretty much a good overview of my weekend...now you know and knowing is half the battle.
